The other day, a young fan on twitter, probably just throwing a shot in the dark and not expecting anything to come from it, suggested to Brandon Phillips that he attend his baseball game that night… here is the series of tweets from Brandon following the kid’s request.

This is regarding the invasion of Columbus Saturday night by Penguins fans (Which I was a part of :) And the anger of the few CBJ fans that were there, over a Penguins fan being selected to ride the Zamboni. This is classic.
Maybe if the CBJ had real fans, this kind of stuff wouldn’t happen. You’d never see anything like this in most other NHL cities.

I Love MSNBC
I came to a realization last night. I love MSNBC. I used to hate everyone on that network. I used to hate Keith Olbermann, and his sarcasm-laced, bitchy rants against conservatives, Chris Matthews and his screaming, and Rachel Maddow and her looking and acting like a teenage boy. Last night though, I watched MSNBC for most of the night during the election results. For the life of me, I could not...

iPad coming to Verizon
Apple and Verizon announced yesterday that beginning on Thursday October 28, the iPad will be available for purchase at Verizon Wireless retail stores nationwide. What does this mean? Well… not as much as you’d think. The success of the iPad is no secret. Apple sold over a million iPads a month in the first 3 months of its existence, and it is projected to have sold 12 million units by the end of...

Quitness....
I kinda figured LeBron was a piece of shit from back when he got into hot water over driving a brand new Hummer in high school, despite the fact that he had no dad, and lived in a one room apartment with his crack-addicted mother. But, I gave him the benefit of the doubt when the Cavs drafted him. Now he proves that he is nothing more than just another loser, who doesn’t want to work to...

Random thoughts on a Thursday night...
I woke up sick today, with a sore throat. I went to work, but was back home by 9:30, where I decided to hole up in my room and sleep the rest of the day. So now, I am wide awake with nothing to do, so here are some things I decided to comment on… Yeah, it sucks that OSU lost yet another bowl game, but I’m not hanging my head too low about it. We lost in a great game to a team that some...

Columbus Alive magazine recently held a tournament to find the greatest American rock band. Readers could go online and vote on the match ups. I have no idea how the bands were selected or seeded, but I did find some clear discrepancies. I decided to scan the results and critique them with my own comments. Go Sox!
White ones, that is. Given the Reds’ annual tank into missing the playoffs, I have chosen the Chicago White Sox as my favorite playoff team this year. Really, this choice was made for no other reason than the fact that I want Ken Griffey Jr. to get a ring. Yes I was sad to see him go, but I would be very happy for him if he won a World Series in Chicago. So, GO WHITE SOX!! P.S. I got bored...

Goodbye Junior...
Well, that time has come. It’s been talked about for years, but today, Ken Griffey Jr. was finally traded from the Reds to the White Sox. I’m fully aware that this move was necessary from an organizational standpoint, but I still cant help but feel mostly sad about this. Other than the 1990 World Series Championship, my happiest day as a Reds fan was the day they announced that they...
